25/06/2008: LDU de Quito-Fluminense 4-2 (Copa Libertadores - Final 1st-leg)
Ecuadorean champions LDU stunned Fluminense, scoring four first half goals to take a giant step forward to securing their first Copa Libertadores triumph. LDU went ahead when Bieler beat his marker to Guerron’s low cross and fired the ball home. Flu levelled when Conca curled a free-kick into the top corner. LDU regained the lead in the 28th minute, Guerron smashing home a loose ball following a free-kick. Campos scored with a near-post header five minutes later, and Urrutia headed the fourth from another corner on the stroke of half-time. Thiago Neves headed one back in the 52nd minute.
