Radamel ‘El Tigre’ Falcao put Atleti ahead on 7 minutes, dinking a sweet finish in off the post. Falcao put the Colchoneros 2-0 up, finishing off an incisive move that left Chelsea bamboozled. Falcao was a whisker away from claiming the match ball before half-time, but he directed his header off the post after a shocking miss from his fellow frontman. Falcao claimed the match ball on the stroke of half time, with yet another ice cool finish past the hapless Petr Cech. Miranda made it 4-0 midway through the second half. Gary Cahill snatched one back for Chelsea, pouncing on a loose ball and nutmegging Courtois in the Atleti goal.
