Greece grabbed an opening day win in Group C thanks to a strong finish which denied a gutsy Bosnia and Herzegovina. Buoyed by a confident start, the underdogs made life difficult for Greece as they established an early 15-10 advantage, thanks mainly to some impressive work by Elmedin Kikanovic who went on to harvest nine first quarter points. Greece responded with five of the last seven points in the period to seemingly gather some much needed momentum but a score from downtown by Nemanja Gordic at the beginning of the second quarter settled the nerves of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
