Robin Van Persie tried his luck with an under-the-wall free-kick early on, which was sussed out by Paddy Kenny. QPR then had a good chance, Bobby Zamora heading over from close range. Adel Taarabt put QPR ahead, using his skills to beat the Arsenal defence and finish nicely. Theo Walcott equalised for the Gunners, slotting home the rebound after his own shot came back off the post. Samba Diakite pulled QPR back in front with a good finish early in the second half with what proved to be the winner.
