Shaun Wright-Phillips continued his excellent pre-season firing City ahead early in the seven half with a stylish hooked volley from Barry’s over-the-top pass. Airtricity conceded a second on the hour when another high ball fell into Adam Johnson’s path and the forward slotted home. Six minutes from time youngster Luca Scapuzzi nipped in to score his first goal for the senior team.
