Palermo opened the scoring after just five minutes against Inter, David Santon was taken out the match at left back before a cross found Fabrizio Miccoli who converted from close range. It got better for the Sicilians ten minutes from the break when more poor Inter defending resulted with Antonio Nocerino crashing in the second for the visitors. After joining from Sampdoria just yesterday, newbee Giampaolo Pazzini made himself an instant Inter hero halving the deficit with a clinical strike in the 57th minute. Giampaolo Pazzini’s debut got even better in the 72nd minute as the striker showed his hunger meeting a Maicon cross first and thumping a header into the near post. Pazzini’s dream debut continued in the 75th minute when he was hauled down for a penalty which allowed Samuel Eto’o to score and complete an outstanding comeback by the reigning champs.
