Barca had the first chance in the Clasico as Leo Messi curled a shot onto the inside of Casillas’s post but the ball bounced out. In the 9th minute the Nou Camp when wild, Iniesta found his partner-in-crime Xavi Hernandez with an incisive pass into the box, and after the ball bounced up kindly the number 6 chipped the ball past a helpless Casillias. Barca put together a signature pass-pass-pass attack to surgically prise open the Real backline in the 17th minute, Iniesta sprayed a switch-ball to Villa wide left, the forward rinsed Ramos and saw his cross turned home by Pedro Rodriguez. Things turned nasty when Cristiano Ronaldo pushed Pep Guardiola after the Barca boss palmed the ball away from C-Ron on purpose, leading to bookings for Ronaldo and Valdes. The Catalans ended the half upset with the referee after Leo Messi was booked for simulation after a coming together with Carvalho. Less than ten minutes into the second half it looked like game over for Real as Messi played a delightful pass that caught out Pepe and freed David Villa and the striker made no mistake with his first time shot. And then came the humiliation in the 57th, Messi cut out Pepe and Ramos with another ball to David Villa and once again the number seven beat Casillas for 4-nil. A truly horrific night for the Madridstas ended in the 91st minute when Jeffren came off the bench to convert Bojan’s cross.
