The Clarets were stung on 18 minutes when Parker’s quick free kick caught the backline napping, and Jack Collison was able to beat Jensen. Junior Stanislas a made it two after the half hour, tucking a shot in-off the left post and Carlton Cole closed out the first half with a third from the spot. Guillermo Franco and Luis Jimenez added to the tally before Steven Fletcher grabbed a double, Steven Caldwell was sent off and Chris Eagles scored.
