Villa opened after a tenth minute corner was hit to the near post where Habib Beye glanced the ball into the six-yard box and Gabby Agbonlahor picked up the crumbs to slot the ball into the net. Spurs levelled 13 minutes from time when a Tottenham attack was only partially cleared by the Villains and Michael Dawson cracked home a rocket that Brad Freidel had no chance of saving.
