Amauri gave Juventus the lead against high flying Sampdoria when the ball fell invitingly from a corner, Giorgio Chiellini doubled the lead three minutes before the break. Early in the second half Juve added a third from Mauro Camoranesi after good work by Giovinco and then goal scorer turned provider for Amauri to head home his second of the match. Serial goal scorer Giamapolo Pazzini pulled one back before David Trezeguet completed the rout late on.
