(FIFA World Cup 2010)

After eight minutes Carlos Salcido came very close to giving Mexico the lead with a long range effort that cannoned back off the bar. Argentina went one-up in the 25th minute with another hugely controversial goal, Lionel Messi played in Carlos Tevez, the ball broke free from Mexico keeper Perez and Messi clipped the ball forward for Tevez (standing in a clearly offside position) to head home from close range. During the celebrations of Argentina’s first goal, Gabriel Heinze amusingly got hit by a cameraman. Eight minutes later Osorio presented the ball to Gonzalo Higuain who rounded the keeper and tapped in for Argentina’s second. Seven minutes into the second half Carlos Tevez scored a cracking third smashing the ball into the top right hand corner from the edge of the box. With twenty minutes remaining Javier Hernandez pulled one back for Mexico with a sharp turn and explosive finish.
