For the first time in 21 years, the Boston Bruins are headed for the Stanley Cup Final. In a series that was as even as anyone could imagine, the Bruins got a goal from Nathan Horton with 7:33 remaining in regulation Friday night to beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 1-0 in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Horton drove to the net and deflected David Krejci’s pass from the left circle past Dwayne Roloson, who lost an elimination game for the first time in eight tries in his career. It was the only one of Boston’s 38 shots to elude the 41-year-old goaltender.
