The Red Devils brought seasonal cheer to Old Trafford inside four minutes, Giggs carried the ball upfield before laying it for Rooney on the right, Rooney dinked a cross over to Dimitar Berbatov and the Bulgarian headed in the opener. Early in the second half Manchester United bagged a deserved second, Anderson found Dimitar Berbatov just outside the box on the right hand side and the forward arrowed a beauty into Gordon’s far post.
