The hosts avoided conceding early on after Marouane Chamakh fired a shot straight at the keeper. Andre Santos should have found the target on the half hour but the Brazilian’s right foot let him down badly, and in the 38th minute Andre Santos blew another opportunity when through on goal. At the end of injury time in the first half, Malaysia took the lead through a stunning 25-yard ripper from Mohamad Azmi Muslim. Arsenal tried to take a quick free-kick after the break but Chuks Anekecould only strike the post, and he was offside in any case. At the other end Safee Sali came close to extended the hosts lead, while Arsenal should have levelled in the 65th but Chuks Aneke blew a one-on-one. Three minutes from time Arsenal equalised as Yennaris burst down the right, cut-back to late substitute Thomas Eisfeld who fired home with aplomb. As injury time ticked over Arsenal took the lead through a deflected strike from Chus Aneke.
