Mark Cavendish won the final stage of the Tour de France in Paris to become the first Briton to win the green jersey competition. HTC sprinter Cavendish outsprinted Norwegian Edvald Boasson Hagen (Sky) and Germany’s Andre Greipel (Omega Pharma-Lotto) to take his third successive victory on the famous cobbles of the Champs Elysees – and his fifth stage win of this year’s Tour.
