The goals in the first half came fast and furious as 3 were scored within 5 minutes. The first was for Mallorca when Pedro Bigas lobbed the keeper. 3 minutes later Álvaro Negredo blasted a short cross into the back of the net. Mallorca replied almost instantly with nice one touch football setting Tomer Hemed up for his goal. Ten minutes into the second half Álvaro Negredo scored his second when he headed in the equaliser from a well placed cross by Cicinho. Cicinho then was on the receiving end when he volleyed a shot in from outside the box bouncing just right past the hapless defenders and a stunned keeper.
