Alberto Gilardino broke the deadlock for Fiorentina in the 26th minute, only for Nicola Amoruso to equalise four minutes later. Valeri Bojinov, on loan from Manchester City, then fired Parma in front early in the second period. Fiorentina drew level just after the hour mark when Gilardino scored his second of the game but there was a final twist as Davide Lanzafame struck the winner for Parma on 67 minutes.
