Spurs conceded against their bitter rivals on the quarter hour when Rosicky teamed up with Wilshere and Gibbs down the left before teenager Henri Lansbury managed to slide in his first Arsenal goal. Spurs wasted little time equalising after the break, Naughton cut in from the right and slipped a ball through to Robbie Keane was saw his effort make it’s way through Fabianski’s sprawl and into the net. The match moved into extra time where the Gunners struck instantly, Bassong (softly) took out Nasri in the box and Samir Nasri stepped up to slot home the spot kick. Spurs then imploded when Steven Caulker gave away a second penalty when he pulled Chamakh down in the box and Samir Nasri again stepped up to coolly score his second penalty. A devastating first period of extra time ended with Andrey Arshavin punting Arsenal into a 4-1 unassailable lead.
