Barcelona needed less than 120 seconds before scoring through left-back Jordi Alba. The match was as good as over in the 7th minute as Cristian Tello doubled the visitors lead with the home defence all at sea. Lionel Messi cracked home Barca’s third in the 17th. Pizzi got Depor on the board with a 26th minute penalty, and the hosts incredibly made it 2-3 in the 37th minute when Alex Bergantinos cracked home a shot following a corner. Barcelona rallied in the 42nd minute as Cesc slipped a pas to Lionel Messi and the Flea made it 2-4. An incredible match continued early in the second period as Pizzi curled a sweet free-kick fro Depor. With less than 15 minutes remaining Lionel Messi scored yet another hat-trick in his amazing career, but a freak golazo own goal from Jordi Alba minutes later gave Depor hope of snatching a draw.
