Frenchman Sebastien Squillaci met a cross into the Stuttgart box following a short corner routine to fire Sevilla into a 24th minute lead, and ten minutes into the second half Jesus Navas bagged the second after awful defending from the Germans. With 20 minutes remaining Squillaci headed in his second of the game to kill the match as a contest, only for Stuttgart’s Elson to net the goal of the game with a wonderful curling free-kick.
