Four minutes in Liverpool took the lead thanks to a ridiculous own goal, which came off the face of Juhani Ojala. Another shocker defensively brought the home side back into it as Jose Enrique teed up Rapha Nuzzolo. A further three minutes later Andre Wisdom put Liverpool in front with a powerful header. Young Boys turned the game on its head at the start of the second half, Juhani Ojala scored at the right end before Gonzalo Zarate made it 3-2 on 63. With 20 minutes to go Sebastian Coates headed Liverpool level. Ad Jonjo Shelvey made it 4-3 on 76. With 2 minutes to go Jonjo Shelvey scored his second with a Gerrard-type run and finish.
