Within 20 minutes Inter had already given a penalty away. The penalty itself was saved by Samir Handanovič but as he could not keep hold of the ball Alexander Ryazantsev managed to get there before him and put Rubin Kazan one up. A nice bit of football brought inter back into the game with the goal keeper being drawn out, beat, Esteban Cambiasso crossing the ball and Marko Livaja (39′) finding the net. First half finished one all. The third goal, Rubin Kazan came late on in the game, Salomón Rondón (found the back of the net after taking on a defender and beating the goalkeeper. Wise never to rule Inter Milan out as they left it late but replied with a goal in injury time thanks to a superb volley by Yuto Nagatomo (90′+2).
