It wasn’t until late in the second half when the goals came with Cristian Rodríguez scoring in the 37th minute and Diego Costa following suit only 3 minutes later. The first half ended Hapoel Tel Aviv 0 - Atletico Madrid 2. Hapoel Tel Aviv did not manage to reply in the way of a goal and looked to be on the back foot most of the time. The only goal to come in the second half was from Raúl García (63′).
