The Premier League champions, who fielded a strong team that included, took the lead right on half time thanks to Sergio Aguero’s strike. Their lead was doubled in spectacluar style 10 minutes after the break as Vincent Kompany capped a run from defence with a delightful chip over the goalkeeper.
