Francesco Totti was the architect as Roma secured a 2-0 lead at Genoa within 16 minutes. Philippe Mexes headed in a Totti corner for the opener and Nicolas Burdisso added number two from a powerful Totti free-kick. Francesco Totti fired home six minutes after the break as Roma looked on course for all three points. The Genoa comeback started a minute later, Rodrigo Palacio fired home and on 68 Alberto Paloschi made it 3-2. On 75 Genoa levelled with Rodrigo Palacio scoring his second of the game with a looping header. The winner came with five minutes to go, Alberto Paloschi tapping home to conclude an incredible match.
