Chievo won a debatable 15th minute penalty against Juve when Moscardelli fell down under a challenge from Chiellini, but Bianconeri keeper Marco Storari became the hero when he saved Michele Marcolini’s spot-kick. On the half hour Juve struck, a corner from the left was knocked on by Iaquinta to Fabio Quagliarella and the in-form forward scored a tremendous over-the-shoulder hook into the top corner. After the break Juve were reduced to ten men when 19-year-old striker Manuel Giandonato, on just his second appearance after scoring on his debut against Man City, got sent off. Juve held their lead until stoppage time when serial goalscorer Sergio Pellisier popped up to poop on the Bianconeri’s parade and claim a draw.
