But Hoffenheim equalised on 44 minutes when Maicosuel drilled home his free-kick from 24-yards. Hoffenheim’s Luiz Gustavo then earned himself a second yellow card, and his dismissal turned the game. Cacau gave his side the lead on 68 minutes before Sami Khedira made sure of the win with a fine individual goal on 82 minutes to leave Stuttgart 14th.
