Bayern took the lead against Fiorentina on the stroke of halftime courtesy of an Arjen Robben penalty – the Dutchman’s sixth goal in six consecutive games. The Viola bagged a crucial away goal at the start of the second half to equalise, poor Bayern defending allowed a corner to go unchallenged into their box and Per Kroldrup helped himself to the charity and slotted the ball home. In the 89th minute Bayern netted a crucial but controversial winner as Robben’s long-range shot was parried out to Olic who nodded a ball onto an offside Miroslav Klose to head in.
Grande prova dei viola sul piano tecnico, tattico e del carattere. Subiscono gol su rigore da Robben, rimontano con Kroldrup. Poi il rosso, probabilmente eccessivo, a Gobbi mentre poco dopo viene graziato Klose: il quale, in evidente fuorigioco, segna il gol decisivo nel finale.
