Rangers only had themselves for conceding after 18 minutes in Stuttgart, Papac’s sloppy defending at left back let in Cacau, the forward advanced goalwards before teeing up Pavel Pogrebnyak to score. Although firmly outplayed, Rangers equalised in the 77th minute as Madjid Bougherra’s marauding run from right back saw the full-back eventually strike a leveller into the near post.
