Porto got their noses in fornt in the 27th minute as a Hulk cross from the left was met by Silvestre Varela. The Citizens equalised early in the second hald when a Toure pass was aimed towards Balotelli, but Alvaro Pereira unwittingly beat the Italian to the ball and sent it into his own net. With seven minutes left on the clock a square pass from Yaya Toure was angled into Sergio Aguero, and the Argentine arrived at right time to sidefoot home.
