PSG suffered a terrible start against Bilbao as Jon Aurtenetxe headed the Spaniards into a lightning lead. The Parisians levelled in the 20th when a free-kick fell to the unmarked Javier Pastore who scored from close range, and five minutes from the break Mathieu Bodmer scored a fine header from a corner to put PSG in the qualification driving seat. PSG’s luck ran out early in the second half as Salzburg took the lead in their match and a pearler from David Lopez pulled Bilbao to 2-2. It looked doomed for PSG when Nene missed an 84th minute penalty, but a minute later Inigo Perez turned a cross into his own net to put the hosts in the lead. In the 88th minute Nene won PSG another penalty and Guillaume Hoarau converted the spot-kick.
