After a goalless first half, Adrian Mutu fired Fiorentina into the lead with a fine strike into the roof of the net. With ten minutes remaining Alberto Gilardino sowed up the win with a solo second, the lone striker seized possession from slack defending before lifting the ball over the keeper, collecting it on the other side and slotting home.
La Fiorentina vince 2-0 grazie alle reti dei due attaccanti Mutu e Gilardino e rafforza la quinta posizione in classifica. I siciliani non demeritano, ma continuano la loro crisi di risultati in trasferta e ora sono undicesimi.
