It took Spain just four minutes to take the lead as Fernando Torres lashed in past Shay Given. Four minutes into the second half it was 2-0 as David Silva passed the ball in. With 20 minutes to go Fernando Torres ran through and tucked the ball into the corner for 3-0. Substitute Cesc Fabregas took a short corner and lashed home for the fourth on 82.
