Mesut Ozil tested Stekelenburg i nthe 7th with a volley. Muller and Schweinsteiger combined tidily 25-yards from the Dutch goal in the 23rd, and Bastien beautifully rolled a pass into Mario Gomez who turned and scored. Germany moved 2-up in the 38th minute when Schweinsteiger again pulled the strings with a pass into Mario Gomez on the right side of th ebox, and the in-form forward lashed a beauty into the far post. With less than 2- minutes remaining Holland got back in the match as Robin van Persie was allowed to advance to the edge of the D and the striker blasted a beauty with his chocolate leg.
