The Bianconeri took a 10th minute lead when a neat backheel played in Luca Marrone who smashed home a rocket form 10-yards. In the 28th minute there was the moment which ever Turin fan wanted to see as departing legend Alessandro del Piero curled in a second from the edge of the box. An og from Stephan Lichsteiner gave Atalanta hope but Andrea Barzagli sealed the win from the penalty spot.
