After their heroics against Chelsea last time out, City were brought back down to earth at Bolton as Ivan Klasnic (offside?) stabbed home the Trotters’ opener from Lee Chung-Yong’s shot after 10 minutes. Carlos Tevez pulled the Citizens level with a defected shot from the edge of the Bolton box, but the Reebok was rocking once again in the 44th minute as Gary Cahill curled a beauty into Shay Given’s top corner. But City went into the break at 2-all as Craig Bellamy slid Micah Richards through in the inside right channel and the full-back found the equaliser. Bolton started the second half just as they did the first, Ivan Klasnic putting Megson’s side into the lead for the third time in the match. City then had Bellamy sent off for a second yellow, but Carlos Tevez again proved his goalscoring prowess by firing home the visitors’ third.
