The temperature was cranked up a few hundred notches before kick-off when Luis Suarez snubbed Patrice Evra’s handshake. A weak Paul Scholes header was about the best of the chances in the 1st half. (First-half highlights). Wayne Rooney found himself unmarked in the box and volleyed United into the lead right after the restart. United wasted little time in delivering the sucker-punch, Wayne Rooney (Nuts!) making no mistake when put through 1 on 1 by Valencia. That man Luis Suarez pulled one back for Liverpool late on but it proved to be mere consolation as United held out for victory. Evra ran to celebrate at the United end at full-time, with Suarez very nearby.
