Tony McCoy broke his Grand National jinx at last with an emotional victory on 10-1 joint favourite Don't Push It. The CV of the best jumps jockey of this and probably any generation is now complete. The 14-times champion jockey has constantly re-written the records books with his riding exploits, his 3,000 plus winners more than any other jump jockey dead or alive. Big-race success comes around each year for the Northern Ireland-born McCoy, but until now, the feat of winning the world famous steeplechase had eluded him. 14 attempts, 14 failures dating back to 1995.
