Oceania champions Auckland City enjoyed a surprise win over fancied hosts Al Ahli to move into the quarter-finals, the Kiwis took a 44th minute lead through Adam Dickinson before Chad Coombes rifled home a 20-yard howitzer into the top corner to double Auckland’s advantage and kick-start the tournament with a bang.
