Andrey Arshavin capitalised on a poor Schwarzer mistake to fire Arsenal into an early lead, and Robin van Persie netted the Gunners second after being teed up by Theo Walcott down the right. In the 36th it was 3-nil after Walcott whipped in a low cross from the right which Chris Baird tried to clear but only managed to stick into his own net. Sveen minutes from time Arsenal claimed their fourth as Carlos Vela was freed through the centre and the Mexican chipped Schwarzer to close out the year.
