Inter should have lead in the 14th minute when they were awarded a penalty, but Diego Milito’s spot kick was saved by the outstretched Stefano Sorrentino. Inter finally made the breakthrough in the 85th minute as Walter Samuel moved up from the back to head in Sneijder’s corner. Diego Milito made amends for his earlier penalty miss when he headed in Inter’s second two minutes later.
