Veteran French striker David Trezeguet improvised to give Juve the lead at home to Bayern Munich. The Bavarian giants kept their hopes of qualification alive when goalkeeper Hans-Jorg Butt stepped up and beat Buffon from the spot after Olic had been brought down by Cacares. Bayern took the lead early in the second half through Ivica Olic who reacted quickest after Buffon had parried a van Buyten header. Mario Gomez and substitute Anatoliy Tymoshchuk scored in the last seven minutes.
Pessima prestazione della squadra di Ferrara, che va in Europa League. Bianconeri in vantaggio con Trezeguet, ma in sofferenza per quasi tutti i novanta minuti. Un fallo stupido di Caceres provoca il rigore trasformato dal portiere Butt, nella ripresa i gol di Olic e Gomez. Gran partita della squadra di Van Gaal, sostituiti e fischiati gli acquisti Melo e Diego.
