Awful defending from Mallorca at the Nou Camp gifted promising upstart Pedro Rodriguez an all-too-simple opener for Barca after 11 minutes. Jose Nunes headed the visitors level nine minutes later from a corner. Barca restored their advantage before the break as first Pedro, and then a diving header from Thierry Henry, put the Catalans 3-1 up at the break.
