Ashley Young needed just five minutes to fire Villa in front against Bolton. A poor mistake from Gary Cahill, attempting to let the ball run out, back-fired as John Carew kept the ball in play before teeing up Gabby Agbonlahor to slot home number two. but Bolton did hit back before the break after a long punt upfield fell to Cahill and his shot deflected off Dunne and against the post with Johan Elmander tapping in from close range. James Milner grabbed Villa’s fourth when after his penalty had been saved by Jaaskelainen and Steve Sidwell had somehow struck the post when presented with an open goalt. Bolton’s misery was capped by Carlos Cuellar’s fine flick header from Milner’s pinpoint delivery.
