Striker Alessandro Matri continued his fine form of late for Cagliari by firing the visitors ahead at Palermo midway through the first half. A superb solo effort from Igor Budan brought the Sicilians level, before hugely-prized centre-half Simon Kjaer grabbed a 65th minute winner to earn the men in pink all three points.

Prima vittoria in rosanero per Delio Rossi: sardi piegati 2-1 in rimonta. Vantaggio iniziale di Matri (sesto gol consecutivo in campionato per lui), ma replica nella ripresa con l’uno-due di Budan e Kjaer.
