United felt aggrieved in the 10th minute as a Cahill challenge on Danny Welbeck went unpunished. The Pensioners took the lead in the 35th minute as Daniel Sturridge ripped Evra to shreds in the left back position before seeing his effort on target deflect off De Gea and then Jonny Evans before nestling in the net. Chelsea went 2-up twenty-four seconds into the second half as a delicious cross from Torres was spanked home on the volley by the superb Juan Mata. Amazingly it was 3-nil to Chelsea in the 50th as a Mata free-kick was headed (or shouldered) home by David Luiz via a Ferdinand deflection. United got a lifeline in the 57th minute through a fabulous penalty from Wayne Rooney after Sturridge took out Evra in the box. Manchester United made it a one-goal-game in the 69th minute as Wayne Rooney sent Cech the wrong way with his second penalty of the game after Ivanovic brings down Welbeck in box. An all-time great Premier League match was confirmed in the 84th minute as Ryan Giggs picked out Javier Hernandez who headed United level 3-3.
