04/12/2009: Bayern Munich - Borussia Monchengladbach 2-1 (Bundesliga)

Scritto da: admin, il 5 December 2009, 12:46 pm

Mario Gomez opened for Bayern after 18 minutes against their old rivals Gladbach, the forward striking a low left footed shot from 18-yards before indulging in a strange airplane landing goal celebration with his teammates. Gladbach equalised ten minutes later, Canadian forward Robert Friend threaded a ball through to centre-back Roel Brouwers who slotted home his fourth goal of the season. Bayern had to wait until the final 15 minutes to retake the lead, highly-promising 20-year-old full-back Holger Badstuber was the hero for Munich grabbing his first goal for the club to claim all three points with what appeared to be an overhit free-kick into the top corner.
