The United States won the women’s 4×100 metres relay title at the world championships on Sunday, Carmelita Jeter bringing the anchor leg home in a time of 41.56. Defending champions Jamaica took second place in 41.70 and Ukraine claimed the bronze medal in 42.51. Bianca Knight ran the first leg for the United States before Allyson Felix powered down the back straight and handed over to Marshevet Myers. Jeter, the individual 100 metres champion, took the baton with a slight lead and held off Veronica Campbell-Brown to give the Americans the gold.
