A smart stop from David De Gea on the quarter hour stopped Emmanuel Adebayor early on. Manchester United went 3-up in the 68th minute with a stunner from Ashley Young, who collected an Evra pass 25-yards from goal before whacking a beauty into the far top corner. Tottenham fans finally had something to shout about in the 85th minute when, after a loose Giggs pass, sub Jermain Defoe placed a 25-yarder past De Gea for 1-3.
