The highlight of the first forty-five was a brilliant double nutmeg from Franck Ribery. Bayern broke the deadlock midway through the second half when Gomez played in Toni Kroos who, after twisting and turning on the edge of the box, drove home a low opener. Mario Gotze lashed home a 73rd minute leveller from a corner.
